María Paz Cuevas“Perdido en Santiago” is the survival story of Mohamed Kassim, a young Somali boy of 19 years old that escaped from the horror of the tribal war in his country. The article follows Mohamed´s travel to a safer life from Africa to America with an illegal agent, all his hope to arrive to Canada, the uncertainty of leaving his family without knowing if they were dead or alive and the mistake that finally kept him in Chile, an unknown country with unknown religion, language and customs for him. The article is a story of hope and friendship, and leaves some questions about refugee laws and human solidarity.
