"Deadly Harvest" is a rare and informative investigation report about China's “black corpses” market during the burial ban, which forced people to take their dead relatives to the crematorium. More than 400 villagers were killed and sold to those willing to pay to substitute their relatives' bodies at the crematorium with another in order to be able to bury their relatives following the ritual they wanted. Authorities started to crack down on similar corpse markets and rescued abducted victims after the report. |
